The Ivorian Government has committed since 2012, with the support of technical partners, including the World Bank through the IFC (International Finance Corporation), the process of improving the business climate through several reforms of the macroeconomic framework and sectoral framework of activities.

Since 2013, the Ivorian Government has embarked on a process of continuous improvement of the business climate, using as a benchmark the Doing Business index of the World Bank Group on ease of doing business. In the Doing Business 2017 report published on October 25, 2016, Côte d'Ivoire maintains its position at 142 th world place. At continental level, it is ranked 17 th among 47 African countries.

From now on, the status for the companies of the type LLC, Partnerships, Limited partnerships are established by acts under private seal. Operators have free standard templates of private status on the CEPICI website. All they have to do is fill them out and have them signed by the parties.
The One stop shop of the Building license (GUPC) was inaugurated on April 29, 2016. It simplifies and speeds up the procedures for obtaining the Building license.
The GUPC issues the building license within 26 days maximum with full transparency. The documents to be provided for its issue are available on the website of the Ministry of Construction. www.ministere-construction.ci/gupc
Côte d'Ivoire has facilitated and simplified the payment of taxes through the establishment of a single form for the declaration and payment of taxes.
It has also facilitated, accelerated and simplified the mechanism for refunding VAT credits by setting up a transparent system which ensures the actual payment of VAT credits in record time.
The One stop shop of Foreign Trade has been set up to facilitate, speed up and simplify the formalities required for foreign trade. All procedures are done online on www.guce.gouv.ci
The institution of recourse prior to amicable settlement, between the parties, through mediation or conciliation enhances the efficiency of the judicial system and makes it possible to avoid the clutter of the courts, settle disputes more simply, and safeguard the commercial relations.
The establishment of special procedures for the settlement of small claims makes justice more accessible, simple and less costly for any person holding a claim whose amount does not exceed 2 500 000 F CFA.
The procedure costs only 15,000 FCFA . Forms are available on the Abidjan Commercial Court website, and anyone can personally appear before the Tribunal.
Côte d'Ivoire has facilitated the protection of minority investors and the settlement of insolvency. In case of fraud, minority shareholders can now challenge and cancel transactions that are not fair and equitable, with a conflict of interest.
